We’ve all heard before that you need to think like the rich in order to get the things that the rich have. So, I thought it would be interesting to interview one of the few millionaires that I know. This particular millionaire (let’s call him “Evan”) is a young, intelligent, educated, fun-loving, eligible, black man who has learned a few things along the way and didn’t mind sharing his some of his experiences and thoughts with me. Here is our quite candid conversation:
We’ve all heard of “quiet desperation,” which is when someone is suffering in silence, maybe feeling desperate to have a particular need met. Many times we only learn of their desperation after their suffering is over. At this point we usually hear someone say things like, “I didn’t know she was going through all THAT!” Or, “I had no idea. She never said a word.”
Loud desperation, on the other hand, is apparent to those “on the outside looking in.” If you look at a person’s life, the things they do, you can tell if they are desperate because they are living their desperation OUT LOUD. Here are some examples of loud desperation: [Read more…]
By last fall, I had put on 17 lbs. of excess weight. This weight was a product of depression, becoming sedentary, and being stressed. Now add to that me having little knowledge of how to control my weight, and I was a balloon waiting to blow up.

This past week while listening to different sermons, I listened to three different preachers and they ALL preached on the Parable of the Three Servants. I thought, “Lord, are you trying to tell me something?” So as I meditated on it, I knew immediately that the message definitely applied to my contemplation of a new business venture, but later in the week as I meditated on it more, I realized that it can apply to ALL areas of life. I discovered about a year or so ago what belly fat ACTUALLY was and I was simply amazed. Recently, I decided to research this topic a little more and was shocked to find what I had learned.
