I am a great woman, phenomenal, I might add.
I stand tall in my power from God, and walk
with the confidence he instilled in me.
I am a caring woman, a nurturing spirit.
Whatever you need, I will supply
according to all of His riches and glory.
I am blessed beyond what the eye can see
and loved more deeply than even I can feel.
I am of value because I have a purpose,
a calling that only I can hear
when I open my ears to hear and
free my mind to understand.
I have much to give. In fact,
YOU have been the cherished recipient
of most of it.
I have cooked for you,
cleaned for you,
cared for your children,
washed your dirty “draaws”,
then gave you some lovin’
that had you seeing stars.
And when morning comes,
I go to work, work all day just
to come home and pay more than
my share of the bills.
Okay. So I’ll give you a little credit.
You go to work, too…sometimes.
You do pick up a sock or two.
You do put the toilet seat down…
when YOU need to.
You have been there for me…
yes, I remember that one time
a few years ago when I needed
some money for that thing. Yeah,
a few years ago.
I do appreciate your support–
I love it when your empty plate
makes it from the table to the kitchen–
somewhere.
No, baby, I ain’t sayin’ you don’t do
NOTHIN’. I’m just sayin’….
YOUR kingdom is being held together
by the hardest working queen I know.
It would be great if you could see me
as I really am, instead of seeing me
as “something” I can do for you.
It would be great if you recognized that
I have needs as well. What do I need,
you ask?
I need you to be the man God has called
you to be, the mate God has called you
to be.
I need you to take the initiative in
getting things done; both trivial and
important.
I need you to be strong enough to
be vulnerable with me as to the
truth of who you really are.
I need you to be be caring enough
to listen when you ask me how my day was.
I need you to touch me, hold me, caress me,
and not just when you’re inside me.
Hold my hand when we go on long walks.
Look into my eyes. Do you even know
what color they are?
Stop guessing.
I need you to step up, man up, and
grow up!
Be a husband, be a father, be a MAN!
Because this great woman, phenomenal, I might add,
deserves a great man, magnificient, I might add,
Question is…
Is it YOU?
