I firmly believe in affirmations, but I have learned that affirmations are not always good for everyone. For instance, to affirm everyday in the mirror that you are strong, beautiful, fearless, or skinny, may not work for you if you don’t BELIEVE it. Yes, you need to have positive self-talk, but when positive self-talk feels like flat out lies, it won’t work.
