It’s cool starting a new year, you know, “new year, new you,” and all that. But many times, the excitement of attaining your goals can wane within the first few days of the year, especially if you don’t have a plan or any direction. Many people want to lose weight this year, including you. You are excited about a new beginning, achieving noticeable weight loss, getting that sexy body, getting healthier, cutting back on medication, and looking delicious in the mirror. But, in all the excitement, you either don’t know what to do or you may have gotten in over your head. Here are a few tips that helped me to lose 10 pounds in the first two months, then 20 pounds in 4 months AND KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF for over a year (within 5 pounds)!
1. I cut back on many fast foods including Subway. Did you know that while Subway is not as bad as many fast food places, a 6 inch sub can still have over 20 grams of fat? And that one sub can have at least 430 calories, chips at least 130 calories, and a cookie at least 200 calories? When I was trying to lose weight, that was about half of my calories for the day!
