The best marriages exist in an atmosphere of unconditional willingness; willingness to grow, to change, to compromise, to experience, to see the other’s point of view. The antithesis, then, is unwillingness which threatens the survivability of marriage. Serial killers of marriage are therefore, simply “I won’t…I can’t…I’m not going to…I don’t…NO” repeated over and over again in response to a positive suggestion to anything that will help build or repair the marriage.
I can speak quite frankly about marriage, separation, AND divorce. At this point, through God’s grace and mercy, I am doggone near an expert! So, believe me when I tell you, if you use any one of the serial killers of marriage in several repeated responses to positive solutions, you may be slowly, or quickly, killing your marriage.
